Our Products

Our products and solutions are designed to enhance daily lives and fuel the progress of industries worldwide. They play a vital role in meeting the world's energy needs while minimizing environmental impact.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Liquefied Petroleum Gas comprises Propane (C3) & Butane (C4). LPG can be used domestically to generate heat or to produce light. Also, It can be used as fuel for some vehicles (mainly in Europe). In the refining and petrochemical industry, it could be used as feed for units such as the HPU (hydrogen production plant), and it can feed steam crackers to produce derivatives (which are the main components to produce Plastics).

Benzene

An important organic compound chemical with the chemical formula C6H6. Its molecule is composed of 6 carbon atoms joined in a ring, with 1 hydrogen atom attached to each carbon atom. It is mainly used as a precursor to heavy chemicals, such as ethylbenzene and cumene.

Paraxylene

A petrochemical component in which used for later processes to produce fibers, films or to produce a polymer such as Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). PET is one of the polymers belonging to the polyester family. Commonly used to manufacture clothes or plastic bottles) and in the industry as material to manufacture Solar cells.

Gasoline

Our Company produces three grades of gasoline suitable for export. The destination of the gasoline determines whether the grade is (Asian, European, or US). The fuel is primarily used for light-duty vehicles. The octane number determines the quality of the fuel. The higher the octane number, the better the performance of the gasoline.

Fuel Jet

One of the main products in SATORP. It’s made from light hydrocarbons. Commonly used as a fuel for planes and can be used as heating oil.

Diesel

The money maker for SATORP. Mainly used as a transportation fuel. What determines the quality of the diesel is the Cetane number. The lower the Cetane number, the lower the performance of the diesel engine.

Propylene

A petrochemical component used to produce Polypropylene. Polypropylene is commonly used in industry to produce plastics.

Coke

Composed of large bulks of carbons with low hydrogen content. Coke is commonly used as a fuel in some countries like China. And it’s used to manufacture some types of batteries.

Sulfur

Produced as a by-product of the hydro-treatment units. Commonly used as a main component to produce sulfuric acid.

Citizenship

  • We realize that our operations are not limited to oil refining and gas processing. We also venture into economic, environmental, and social responsibility aspects. We created the Corporate Social Responsibility Organization (CSR) to implement and coordinate strategically aligned opportunities that positively impact our community, environment, consumers, employees, stakeholders, and the general public.

As giving back to society has always been at the forefront of the company’s policy, the citizenship activities will support the four key citizenship pillars of Economy, Community, Knowledge, and Environment and are grouped under two main categories based upon their target audience and purpose.

  • Internal Citizenship Activities Programs (IC) aim to improve the lives of our employees and their families (e.g., Health Wellness Program, Safety Awareness, and Environmental Stewardship Workshops for employees).

Various departments within our company carry out these activities.

  • Driven by our belief to make major contributions to the society in which we operate, we founded External Citizenship Activities Programs (EC) to benefit local communities, the general public, and other external stakeholders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They involve a variety of citizenship outreach programs (e.g., philanthropic programs, awareness activities, and traffic safety signature programs).

SATORP has started the first phase of its CSR program by creating Torathuna, a wholly-owned company, for craft entrepreneurship programs with a mechanism to help artisans and craftsmen to preserve the kingdom’s heritage. SATORP’s CSR initiative Torathuna was initiated in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage to preserve heritage and antiquities to survive, flourish and sustain for future generations through creating successful local crafts businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  • We support artisans and craftsmen entrepreneurs to have sustainable and successful businesses by providing them with the needed funds, training, development, and tools to nurture and develop their enterprises' businesses.

To build a path of communication and collaboration, SATORP signed a memorandum of understanding with Wa'ed Ventures, the Saudi Handicrafts arm of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and the National Heritage (SCTA) Saudi Handicraft Program. Our goal is to partner with the best in the crafts sector.

Therefore, our initiative Torathuna is collaborating with the SCTA to achieve our objective successfully.
